The Portfolio Manager will provide strategic oversight across all categories of operational excellence within IT. The manager will engage with senior leaders, drive key operational excellence and process improvement initiatives and lead the team in providing operational support across the department. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager will oversee the development of business intelligence and data visualization for Operational reporting. The role will be vital for efficient operations of IT’s largest department. The Portfolio Manager plays an active role in making decisions involving processes and structures to support enterprise wide change. The Portfolio Manager must have the ability to manage business sponsor relationships and navigate the political landscape.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of operational processes within a large IT function, in depth skills and experience in handling large contracts, budgets, resource management and Operational reporting

The Portfolio Manager is accountable for providing operational excellence across multiple categories of Operations and Operational Reporting to achieve the department’s stated goals. They would lead a team of product managers and analysts providing operational support in Contracting, Purchasing, Resource Management, Finance and Budgets, and near real-time Operational Reporting.
The Portfolio Manager is expected to work autonomously and require minimal direction from leadership with regards to portfolio management and operations. They are expected to contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes. They may be assigned to strategic initiatives of significant scope, organizational impact and budget.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Ability to work with senior leadership, with good presentation skills
- Ability to lead a team to deliver on metrics for operational excellence
- Experience in resource and budget management
